| Additional Information | The Canada Food Board created this lapel badge to recognize the “Soldiers of the Soil.” Recruitment for the program emphasized its similarity to some aspects of military service, including its patriotic importance and the award of a service medal at the end of one’s term. ;:;La Commission canadienne du ravitaillement créa cet insigne de revers pour honorer les « Soldats de la terre ».
